TechBA: Technology Business Accelerator

 

TechBA is a program of Business International Acceleration, created in 2004 by the Mexican Ministry of Economy, FUMEC and Aceltec. TechBA is a key component for strengthening gazelle firms in the international markets. The main goals of TechBA are:

  • Bring Mexican technology based companies to global markets.
     
  • Facilitate interactions of these companies with international environments that can propel their growth, allowing them to generate sales, strategic alliances and investments.
     
  • Position Mexican firms as world class technological providers.


The TechBA approach is to identify the more successful companies in the Mexican market that count with high value products and services and an innovation and technology strengthening strategy.

Their incorporation to technical-entrepreneurial environments of high dynamism, and subscribe to knowledge economies, will allow this companies to develop at a more accelerated pace and with high efficiency criteria to compete in the international markets.

TechBA operates in eight highly dynamic regions: Arizona, Austin, Madrid, Michigan, Montreal, Seattle, Silicon Valley and Vancouver. In each of them TechBA partners with renown organizations that has a proven history of success cases in the acceleration of innovative firms, it is the case of IC2 (Innovation, Creativity and Capital Institute) of the University of Texas at Austin, Inno-centre in Montreal the Scientific Park in Madrid, Spain, TechTown in Michigan and SySong in Arizona.

In Silicon Valley, TechBA has developed strategic alliances with organizations such as Silicom Ventures, Software Development Forum, the U.S. Market Access Center (U.S. MAC) ands the City of San José.

FUMEC Participation as strategic partner of the Mexican Ministry of Economy contributes with business networks and technological capacities. A key element is FUMEC’s deep understanding of the economic and cultural factors that condition the success of high added value firms in the North American context.
