| COMECYT and SATE strengthen TI industries in the State of Mexico |

FUMEC and the Science and Technology Council of the State of Mexico (COMECYT) presented the “Financial and Articulation Support Program for Information Technology (TI) Businesses in the State of Mexico” on July 18th 2009. During this event information was presented regarding the growth of activities and articulation that the Technological Enterprise Assistant System (SATE) will offer to businesses in State of Mexico with the support of COMECYT. SATE will be attentive to small medium enterprises (SME) of the IT sector in the State, in order to foster their competitiveness, at local, national and even international level, as explained by Antonio Tajonar Miranda, Director of Technology Development from COMECYT. The SATE is focused on the task to support innovative businesses interested in taking advantage of opportunities, identifying allies and putting into practice governmental support, as is the case of businesswoman Guadalupe Sánchez of Brain Up. She mentioned: “Almost four years ago we entered the SATE program. We were a SME with 25 employees, today we have 380 in the country, we export services and we are working on a stronger exportation plan”. Representatives from the Mexican Information Technology Industry Association, A.C.
